Local donations and fundraising efforts are critical to Chaffee County Mentors because the allow us to access and leverage the grant dollars on which our program relies and offer unique activity and training opportunities for youth and mentors not typically covered in our grants.
WAYS TO DONATE
Participate in the FYI For Kids Sake Auction and Golf Tournament
Started in 2003 as the annual fundraiser for Chaffee County Mentors, this annual event now supports all the programs of Family & Youth Initiatives. Sponsors receive marketing in exchange for their donations of $50 to $1000. Silent auction donations are also needed. Everyone in the community is invited to join in the Silent Auction Party or play in the golf tournament. Our fundraiser is held the weekend before FiBArk in Salida. For more info, call Arden Trewartha, FYI Supervisor, at 719-593-9193.

South Central Racing
South Central Racing (SCR) connects Chaffee County Mentors (CCM) youth with cycling and skiing opportunties through the following initatives:
- SCR and Otero Cyclery donated 4 bicycles to CCM for mentors and youth to check-out for rides around town.
- All CCM youth are required to wear a helmet when riding bikes. Thanks to SCR, our youth are eligible to receive a free bike helmet.
- SCR repairs used bikes and donates them to CCM youth on an ongoing basis.
- SCR memberships and events throughout the year raise funds that are donated to CCM to support our annual group activity at Monarch Mountain.
- SCR members volunteer time to support CCM group activities.
Thank you, South Central Racing!
West End Café
The West End Cafe, run by Joel Poston and Kevin Harrington, closed it’s doors this September. We are deeply grateful for over 2 years of ongoing support offered by Joel and Kevin. Thank you, West End Café!
